(PENSACOLA, Fla.) The Pensacola Police Department has added online report filing to its website.
Police say the option allows people to file a police report online for incidents involving lost property, criminal mischief/vandalism, petit theft and harassing phone calls.
"We are pleased to offer this new service and hope that it will make it easier for the public to file reports," said Chief Chip Simmons in a release.
Although this new service is available, people can still request a police officer to respond to take a report if that is their preferred option.
"In addition to providing convenience to the public, this system also has the benefit of keeping police officers on patrol during the time it would have taken them to write a report," Simmons said.
You must have a valid email address and the incident must have happened within the Pensacola city limits to file the report with the Pensacola Police Department. For more information click
