ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WPMI) A big announcement is expected Thursday in Escambia County, Florida, that could turn a panhandle landmark into a toll road.
Talk is that the Pensacola Bay Bridge could be deemed a toll road. That bridge connects Pensacola to Gulf Breeze on US 98.
Nothing is definite yet. The Florida Department of Transportation will host the news conference Thursday at 3 p.m., in Pensacola.
