Monroeville Teen Allegedly Gang Raped

(MONROEVILLE, Ala.) Nov. 18 - Two teenage boys and a young man are accused in the gang rape of two 14 year old girls. The alleged attack happened Tuesday. The suspects who are 16, 17 and 20 picked up the victims from school. Police say the suspects took the girls to a home and violently sexually assaulted them. Police are not releasing the names of the accused. All three are charged with sexual assault.

The two 14 year old girls might have been here at a basketball game Wednesday night, that's where LOCAL 15 News found students and parents at Monroe County High School where the two victims are freshman students. It's a game like this one that brings a community together and keeps young minds healthy says one parent. Wilbur Winters has two daughters, he says he's thankful the police moved in quickly and made the arrests. "That was terrible man," he said. "I mean that's a child man its uncalled for.".

"I hate that happened especially here in a small town but we need a lot of things for them to get into to there ain't nothing to do around here," says another parent Alton Spencer who has two teenage sons.

It's a cry from parents who want the best for their children and realize the lives of two young girls may have been changed forever.

Police say internal injuries were so severe to one of the girls, she required surgery.
