(BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala.) Hundreds of parents showed up at Elberta Elementary School Thursday night to hear the school board's proposal for rezoning. That proposal could mean changing intermediate schools into elementary schools.
Concerned parents, bus drivers, teachers and students from five Baldwin County communities voiced their opinions about the rezoning proposal. Nearly everyone was against the plan.
"Why are we going to spend the money and the effort to rezone something instead of hiring teachers and special ed teachers and help our students and the schools," Parent Scott Williamson said.
Superintendent Dr. Alan Lee says he'll review online surveys before deciding where to go from here.
