PENSACOLA, Fla. (WPMI)  Pensacola Police have arrested a third suspect in an attempted homicide that happened last year.

Sunday, Escambia County Sheriff's deputies took Kenneth Weathers, 22, into custody around 4:45 p.m.

Deputies saw a vehicle fail to come to a complete stop at a stop sign at Roosevelt and Crescent Drives and followed it.

The vehicle pulled into a driveway. Weathers was driving the car, two other occupants got out and ran, but were also captured.

All suspects were arrested on drug charges by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

Weathers was wanted on an outstanding warrant for attempted homicide and firing into an occupied vehicle for an incident that happened at Tarragona and Hernandez streets September 17, 2012.

In that incident, a 20-year-old male was shot while sitting in a car.

An officer patrol near the area heard the gun shots, and when they responded, a truck was speeding away from the area.

Officers followed the truck and arrested two men, Ulysses Samuel, Jr., 34, and 17-year-old Aquarius Devaughn. Both men are from Pensacola.

Both men were charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Officers also recovered three guns from the truck.

Officials say multiple suspects shot into the victim's vehicle.

That case is still under convention, and additional arrests are pending.

If you have any information, call Pensacola Police.
