NAVARRE, Fla. (WPMI) A man is dead after a four hour standoff in Santa Rosa County overnight.
Deputies attempted to serve a warrant on Jeffrey Wright, 54, in Navarre.
They say Wright barricaded himself inside a home on Avenida de Galvez in Navarre.
Deputies tried several times to negotiate with Wright and then several gunshots were heard.
Wright died at the scene. No deputies were injured in the incident.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating.
