(GULF OF MEXICO) The U.S. Coast Guard says an oil platform had to be evacuated in the Gulf of Mexico Wednesday afternoon, after it caught fire.
It happened about 40 miles off the coast of Terrebone Parish in Louisiana. The platform is owned by W&T Offshore.
The fire has been extinguished. Three workers were treated for minor injuries.
The Coast Guard says there is a light sheen around the platform.
