Charges Against Gilchrist Dropped
(ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla.) Nov. 20 -- He was once charged with shooting an innocent bystander at a Pensacola bar, now David Gilchrist Jr., is a free man. Authorities dropped all charges against him.
The murder happened in October at the Oakrest Bar in Pensacola. Deputies say two men robbed the place, shooting to death an innocent man as he sat on a bar stool.
Escambia County, Fla. sheriff's deputies say Brandon Davis, who is charged with the crime, told authorities that Gilchrist was with him that night.
Later, Davis changed his story and told deputies Gilchrist was not there. Davis still faces murder charges.
