ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WPMI) A combination of a good witness and investigative work lead to the arrest of three Escambia County men and the clearing of at least 37 cases in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.
The burglaries took place in the areas of Beulah, Cantonment and Pace.
On January 25, burglaries were reported in the Indian Lakes subdivision. Investigators say Kevin Bell, Charles Williams and Richard Craig stole credit cards and a set of car keys from a home. They say the trio later returned to steal the vehicle.
Deputies say the three abandoned the vehicle when they were seen, but a witness was able to give a good description. There was also video surveillance of the suspects and their vehicle from a Red Box machine where they had used stolen credit cards.
Based on this information, investigators were able to locate the vehicle at a home on Bridlewood Road. The suspects confessed to multiple burglaries.
According to the suspects they had been using the stolen credit cards for gas, fast food and Magic gaming cards at Walmart.
Bell, Williams and Craig are charged with burglary of a vehicle and grand theft.
