(MOBILE, Ala.) The case against a Mobile County teacher accused of having sexual relations with a student was back in court Monday. Alicia Gray is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student at Mary G. Montgomery high school.
Gray has been out on bond since turning herself in last month. Monday was a motion hearing. We expected Gray to be in court, but she was not there. Instead her attorney Christine Hernandez was.
Officials from the District Attorney's office say Hernandez filed a motion to preserve records concerning this case before the hearing even started.
Hernandez, along with the D.A., are expected to come to an agreement. Hernandez says she's waiting for an order to come out. She refused to elaborate any further, but said it is important that everyone involved in this case is informed about what is going on in the case.
Hernandez says the arraignment for Gray was already held, but she refused to elaborate on that.
