THEODORE, Ala. (WPMI) Investigators with the Mobile County Sheriff's Office are back on the scene where a human skull and bones were found Monday afternoon. Tuesday, officials tell Local 15 News more bones were found.

They also tell us the family of missing teen mom Brittany Wood is in the area.

"I just do want to stress that any of these families who have missing loved ones if they have recent dental records that would certainly help expedite the identification of this particular skull that was discovered," said Lt. Paul Burch, Mobile County Sheriff's Investigator.

Investigators were called to an area on Dep Busby Road off Old Pascagoula Road after a man looking for scrap metal discovered the bones. They stayed on the scene for hours, until the sun went down. Crews were back on the scene early Tuesday morning.

One of the first connections that comes to many people's minds is Wood. Investigators say it's too early to make a connection.

They do say the teeth on the skull are in very good condition, that will make identification easier and faster.

Local 15 News has a crew in the area. Will will report additional information as it is made available.
