MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) Today's heavy rains caused flooding in some areas around Mobile County.

Residents on Colonial Court, off Dauphin Island Parkway say they've experienced problems with flooding in their neighborhoods.

They're afraid water will seep into their homes.

"I'm concerned about a lot of these folks in this area, where we won't be able to get out once it starts flooding,” says Donald Pettaway, a concerned neighbor.

Most folks in this particular area have lived there for more than 30 years.

They say they've been seeking help for the flooding issue for as long as they can remember.
