ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (WPMI) Memorial services for a teenager killed in a skateboarding accident have been announced.

Fourteen-year-old Hunter Sorenson was skateboarding down a parking garage ramp March 10, when he lost control and fell into oncoming Beach Boulevard traffic. Orange Beach Police say the teen was killed on site.

An assembly was held the next morning at Gulf Shores High School, where Sorenson was a student. The principal said students were taken aback by what happened.

"Nobody moved and there for about four minutes, everybody was quiet everybody was thinking about Hunter. Everybody was thinking about his family," said Ernie Rosado, Gulf Shores High School principal.

The memorial service will be held at Christian Life Church in Orange Beach Saturday, March 16. The public is welcome at 5:30 p.m. The service begins at 6.

The unidentified driver of the vehicle that hit Sorenson will not be charged.
