HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Huntsville police are investigating a shooting that left a man seriously wounded in a convenience store parking lot.
The wounded man was taken Saturday morning to Huntsville Hospital after he was shot at close range. The man's name was not immediately released.
Police Sgt. Clay Warmbrod says witness reported seeing the shooter drive away in a gray Mercedes. Police say the two men began arguing inside a convenience store on Jordan Lane and then stepped outside, where the shooter pulled out a gun and shot the other man before driving away.
Homicide detectives were still gathering information Saturday afternoon.
