(CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Or.) Clackamas County Sheriff's spokesperson days the gunman fatally shot two people, and another person was critically injured, this afternoon at the Clackamas Town Center near Portland.
Police say the gunman did kill himself after the shooting.
Investigators say law enforcement who flooded the Clackamas Town Center in response to the afternoon shooting didn't fire any shots.
Witnesses say the gunman had a rifle and was wearing a camouflage outfit and a mask when he started shooting in the food court.
Tylor Pederson was inside the Sears store when the shooting occurred, "I was inside applying for a job and next thing I know I see a few people running into Sears and away from the middle of the mall saying they heard shots and that there's a shooting going on, I wasn't for sure if it was real at first but until I seen the reactions on their faces that they were serious and very quickly the managers started getting everybody away from the entrance of the Sears store and closing down the big doors and locking down all the doors."
Hundreds of holiday shoppers and store employees evacuated the mall after the shots rang out. Many others hid in the stores.
