SEMMES, Ala. (WPMI) A little boy got a big surprise Sunday, all with the help of some magic makers and a football player.
6-year-old Brian Carr was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at the age of one.
His childhood has been marked with the memories of needles and intense medical regimens, and Sunday, he got the chance to enjoy just being a kid.
Magic Moments heard about his wish to go to Disney World, so they enlisted another special person to present Brian with the gift. Alabama Crimson Tide National Champion Player D.J. Fluker.
Fluker, the folks from Magic Moments and Brian's family all gathered in Beef O'Brady's in Semmes to give Brian the big news.
Brian beamed up at Fluker, and gave him a high five--and a "Roll Tide!".
A spokesperson with Magic Moments said the organization is the only local charity that grants wishes exclusively in the state of Alabama.
Brian will get to enjoy a variety of events in Disney World, plus no waiting in line to see his favorite Disney characters.
Local 15 News was there for the big reveal, and will show you tonight at 10 p.m.
