MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) The Mobile Police Department is asking for more money to help combat crime.

The department is applying for four federal grants. Some of the money will be used to pay for overtime for officers.

Other money is geared toward stopping drug trafficking, especially through the mail and on area roadways.

"But funds are tight and so any monies that we can get through the federal system will be applied towards those operations," said Mobile Police Chief Micheal T. Williams.

The grants total nearly $78,000.

That 100K plus that the moon pie celebration cost would come in handy huh "Chief Know Nothing"? "Chief Know Nothing" Williams won't tell his butt buddy Sam Jowls Jones that he is wasting money on nonsense while crime continues to escalate. Miss Sam Jones and his manly looking assistant Mister Barbara Drummond have no idea what they are doing and the election for mayor can''t come fast enough.

Come on now ........ Get real!! Make the criminals pay. This is all for them isn't it? Besides, according to your mayor, Sam Jones, Mobile doesn't have a crime problem. Therefore, you don't need more money to "help combat crime". Your city taxes are too high already.
