MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) Parents and students from Murphy High School are expected to attend a public meeting Wednesday night to talk about plans to repair the school.
Murphy High School was severely damaged in the Christmas Day tornadoes. Officials estimate it will cost millions of dollars to repair it back to historic condition.
Students are now attending Clark-Shaw Magnet School. There's been some concern with parents who don't want the middle and high schoolers mixed. Dozens of portables were brought it to accommodate the overflow.
No word on when the work on the high school will get underway.
The public hearing is Wednesday at 5 p.m., at the school board. A board meeting will follow to discuss the zoning of Taylor White School.
