MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) More than 1,500 runners took part in the Dirty Girl Mud Run on Saturday, as part of an event was put on to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research.
The 5K race included 13 obstacles where the ladies had no problem playing in the mud.
Les Braze, Operation Manager for the Dirty Girl Run said the event was “About the women, everything we do is about the women. We don’t focus on spectators, we focus on women." They make their own fun, this is their day. This is the dirty girl’s day.”
Among the hundreds of participants in the Run were Local 15’s Christian Jennings and Local 15 editor Abby Gresham.
