(CHICKASAW, Ala.) - One local church is doing its part to make sure everyone has a hot meal this Thanksgiving.

Word of Life Community Church in Chickasaw handed out thousands of pounds of food Saturday to families throughout the community.

Organizers say the food is completely free. There was no need to preregister. People simply had to come down to get some groceries.

"Hunger is one of the greatest things that's attacking people. A lot of children don't have enough to eat, a lot of adults. And nourishment and nutrition are very important things to human existence," said Dr. Henry Roberts, Pastor at Word of Life Community Church.

The usual suspects getting their freebies from whoever will give it to them. I didn't see one person in that video that appeared to weight less than 180 pounds. Most of the women appeared to be over 200 pounds. Didn't see any starving people at all in the above 'news' video. Just a bunch of takers doing what they do best.
