(MOBILE, Ala.) - Local 15 News is learning chilling new details from a Mobile artist who was shot three times in his front yard. Wayne McNeil is in fair condition at USA Medical Center after the incident on October 10.

McNeil is the curator at Space 301 in downtown Mobile.

He said two men in hooded sweatshirts opened fire on him Wednesday night after he returned home from a concert at the art gallery. McNeil told Local 15 News he was shot, on the ground and begging for his life when the gunman asked, "do you like my pistol?" McNeil said he responded by asking the gunman to stop shooting him. He managed to open his front door, crawl inside and close it behind him.

McNeil said he yelled for his roommate, who called 911.

At the hospital, McNeil found out he'd been shot three times, once in the abdomen, the chest and arm. He said the shooting is all still a blur.

The main thing on McNeil's mind Sunday was just getting back to the job he loves so much.

"Eventually I'll get back to doing what I love, helping people be engaged with art, and I think I'm just going to be so much more grateful than I ever was before. I work with people I care for deeply. Whether it's in the community or inside our walls, I am so grateful, for everything," McNeil said Sunday from his hospital bed.

McNeil said he expects to be released from the hospital as soon as Tuesday.

Sure is odd how the writer of this article avoids stating the fact that it was a couple of goddamn nig.gers who committed this violence. How much longer Mobile? How much longer will you abide with this nig.ger violence?
