(PASCAGOULA, Miss.) Architects told the Jackson County Board of Supervisors that a proposed design change to the $30 million Jackson County jail would help with expansion capability.

The Sun Herald reports the change of design which the board must approve would involve "two 16-bed pods in building A, which were previously shown as shelled-in for future use, be relocated to building C so that building C would reflect 32 beds shelled-in for future use, and building A would gain 32 beds for immediate use."

Larry Goldberg, of The Goldberg Group- Architects, PC, said Monday the change would not add a nickel, a square foot or a bed but would improve the flow of the center's expansion capability.
