(MOBILE, Ala.) Nov. 27 - Even though it's Black Friday, many people skipped the stores to watch their favorite team battle it out on the field. The Iron Bowl is usually played the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

For Alabama and Auburn fans, Friday wasn't about shopping for Christmas presents. It was about buying those last minute jerseys for what most call the biggest football game in the state of Alabama.

"It wasn't just Black Friday, it was the Iron Bowl," Charlene Williams said.

Williams works at Bama- Fever, Tiger-Pride in Bel-Air mall.
When she got to work at 5:30 a.m. Friday, there was already a line to get in the store.

"One of the busiest days I have ever seen here," Williams said.

"The day after Thanksgiving, it's just exciting to be around Alabama and Auburn fans and fight it out," Wendy Singleton said.

Singleton says she's such an Auburn fan; it was the main topic of discussion during Thanksgiving dinner.

"It's exciting to walk in the house Thanksgiving Day and wear your Auburn shirt and that starts up a whole fight," Singleton said.
