Honor Flag Arriving for Deputy Ward's Funeral

(MOBILE, Ala.) The Honor Flag is en route to Baldwin County for Deputy Scott Ward's funeral.

His funeral will be held Tuesday at the Fairhope Civic Center.

Deputy Ward was killed while responding to a call south of Fairhope Friday night. One other deputy was injured.

The Honor Flag will arrive on an American Eagle Flight at Mobile Regional Airport at 10 p.m. Monday night. It will be received with full honors.

The Honor Flag travels from city to city across the United States to pay tribute to law enforcement and service men and women who have lost their lives defending our lives and our country.

A fund has been set up for deputies Ward and Summerlin. Donations can be made at any PNC bank location under their names.
