(ROBERTSDALE, Ala.) November 11 -State troopers say 19-year-old Sarah Darelle Anderson or Robertsdale was killed and her passenger, 19-year-old Sara Elizabeth Clayton of Auburn, Alabama was injured after the car they were traveling in hydroplaned on the rain-drenched roads in Montgomery.
The sad news quickly made its way to Roberstdale. "One of my friend who also went to church with me called me and told me I was just like excuse me they just had to repeat it I could just not believe it," says high school friend Stephanie Lowell.
Other seniors at Robertsdale High say even though Anderson graduated two years ago she still kept in touch with her friends back home. "She was one of the happiest people here I mean you just look at her and she was always positive you would never see her upset and if she was upset you would know it," says Lowell.
Anderson was Roberstdale High Schools 2007 Homecoming Queen, the school's Drum Major and as a college Freshman a proud member of Auburn University's Marching Band.
Anderson, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle when it overturned. She was pronounced dead on the scene. Her passenger Sara Clayton, who was wearing a seatbelt, was found inside the automobile. She was rushed to Baptist Medical Center South Hospital in Montgomery where she is listed in stable condition.
