(MOBILE, Ala.) As lawmakers in Washington remain at a stand still when it comes to avoiding a so called fiscal cliff, Alabama Governor Robert Bentley is not sure a deal will be reached by the end of the year.
The Governor spoke to a group of Gulf Coast business owners at the convention center tonight.
He says falling off the cliff would result in 24-thousand people losing their jobs in Alabama, mostly in the northern part of the State.
Even if a deal is reached, he says, it would likely be a short-term fix.
