(MOBILE, Ala.) - The Boys and Girls Club may need more fundraisers to help offset recent budget cuts by the city.
The annual Mayor's Golf Tournament helped kick off those efforts.
Between 50 and 60 teams competed to help raise money for the seven clubs that operate in Mobile County.
The Boys and Girls Club was one of the agencies recently cut in the city's effort to pass a budget and trim costs.
"Our mission is to really keep kids off the street, to help them with their education needs. We have programs that fit in all those categories and it's really to raise well-rounded citizens for our leadership in our community," explains the club's executive director, Mary Zoghby.
This is the 21st year for tournament.
