(MOBILE, Ala.) - The family of Gil Collar will get to view the surveillance camera footage that will shed light on what happened Saturday morning when the USA freshman was fatally shot on campus by a police officer.
The Mobile County Sheriff's Office says the teen was on LSD, and that lead to his erratic behavior.
27-year-old Trevis Austin has been identified as the officer who pulled the trigger.
He's a four year veteran.
The media will be shown the video, but it will not be released to the public.
Collar's family is expected to see the video today. Other family members, attorneys, and University of South Alabama Officials could also see the footage today.
"I don't think I can describe in words what actually transpired there, but I want to at least first let the family have an opportunity to see some of the facts of this case," said Sheriff Sam Cochran Wednesday.
Cochran says the video clearly shows how this all happened.
