GARDENDALE, Ala. (WPMI) The United Methodist Bishop for North Alabama comforted members of a church Sunday where the senior pastor is charged with murder in his wife's death.
The bishop comforted them with the story of Jesus calming the waters in a storm.
"Today in the message I was reminding us as a congregation that we are in the middle of a storm, but we are not in the storm alone. We have each other and we have Christ in the boat with us," said Debra Wallace-Padgett.
The Reverend Terry Greer is accused of killing his wife Lisa with a shotgun. She was killed in the church owned parsonage.
