To claim in a news outlet that this sentence was based on "conspiring to commit fraud, embezzlement and money laundering in connection with a land swap scheme involving FEMA funds after Hurricane Katrina." is conter to the judge's orders and blatant journalistic malpractice. You should be ashamed or your poor reporting ethics.

BLB Mayor Stan Wright (John Deere cap) is now on the clock!!! He is on borrowed time and I will bet that he is found guilty by the Feds and recieves a much longer sentence. Now BLB will have to get another Mayor, and I nominate Henry Barnes as the best possible replacement.
