(MOBILE, Ala.) A subsidiary of Labinal, Safran Engineering Services will build a facility at the Brookley Aeroplex.
The new engineering office will support aerospace and transportation companies in Alabama and bring additional capabilities and support to Airbus.
"It is very exciting that Labinal has chosen Mobile County," Commission President Merceria Ludgood said. "It is a statement that the Brookley Aeroplex is the place to locate for Airbus suppliers."
"This announcement is the latest example of how state and local leaders work together to get a positive result," Gov. Robert Bentley, R-Ala. said. "Alabama is poised for tremendous growth in the aerospace sector."
Safran Group is a global aerospace and defense firm based in France. The office will open in early 2013.
