MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) USA Children's and Women's Hospital is looking for dogs for their new Pet Therapy program.

Pet therapy dogs usually visit the pediatric patients Tuesdays and Thursdays. These are specially trained dogs that are escorted room-to-room to see the patients and brighten their day.

With the number of hospitalized children increasing, there's a need for more dogs to join the Pet Therapy program.

Dogs and their handlers must be screened by the hospital. The dogs must have successfully completed obedience training and the requirements of Pet Partners Inc., formerly Delta Society, must be met.
