MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) For the first time in thirty years voters in House District 97 will have to make a choice of who will best represent their interests in Montgomery. A special election to fill the seat formerly held by Dr. Yvonne Kennedy will be held Tuesday, Feb. 26.
The candidates are William Carroll; Adline C. Clarke; Karlos Finley; Jeffery Ray Jones; Kimberly Williams Pettway; Ronnie L. Williams; Levi Wright, Jr.
Voters in precinct #43, formerly located at Murphy High School, has been changed to West Side United Methodist Church, located at 269 Mohawk Street, 36606.
Murphy High was heavily damaged by the Christmas tornado that struck the midtown area of Mobile.
Postcards have been sent to all eligible, active registered voters in this district.
Not all Precinct #43 voters are eligible to participate in the upcoming special election because only a portion of the precinct lies in House District 97.
