OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WPMI) A Destin man was arrested Monday night on an attempted murder charge after investigators say he shot at one of his friends.

Forty-three-year-old Fred John Shepard is also charged with shooting a firearm in an occupied dwelling and using a firearm under the influence of alcohol.

Deputies were called to Shepard's apartment on Gulf Shore Drive around 5:15 Monday evening. The 41-year-old victim told officials Shepard came out of his bedroom and began shooting at him. He said three rounds from the handgun hit the couch and another hit a wall beside the front door as the victim was running away.

Shepard, whose blood alcohol level later tested at .22, denies the shooting.

The victim told investigators hours before the incident the two had been drinking together.

Mr. Bean doesn't make much of a good "friend" but if he gets off maybe power real estate will sell him property.
