(DAPHNE, Ala.) - The outpouring of love for Newtown, Connecticut continued closer to home.
Students at Daphne High School did what they could for family members of those who lost loved ones in the Sandy Hook tragedy.
"We were touched by it. Our hearts went out to them. We wanted to do something. We wanted to help somehow,” says Daphne Junior Shelby Stoddard.
Stoddard and her friend Olivia Ralston rallied her fellow students to create a holiday card in hopes of helping.
"When I found out, I just broke down and I just couldn't imagine,” says Ralston.
It’s a feeling shared by a school and an entire nation. With each card and prayer, a small piece of healing was sent along with it.
"I hope they feel the whole country is coming out to help them. Feel like they are not alone,” says Stoddard.
