(MOBILE, Ala.) The Mobile City Council approved an $800,000 expenditure for the GulfQuest Maritime Museum.
The money will be for the construction work the company already did from June until the end of this month. Mobile Mayor Sam Jones says the delays were mostly because of flooding and storm damage.
The city has put an estimated $28 million into the museum.
GulfQuest should open sometime next year. An opening date has not yet been set.
