MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) Unofficial voting results reveal Adiline Clarke and Karlos Finley will face a runoff for the state House District 97 seat.

Clarke took the lead with 40.4 percent of the votes.

Finley got 24.4 percent of the votes.

City councilman William Carroll followed up with 17.4 percent.

A tally of provisional votes will be counted at noon next week.

The count will happen on the third floor conference room of the Mobile County Government Center Annex.

A run-off election will be held April 9.

This is the first time in thirty years voters in this district had to vote for the seat formerly held by Dr. Yvonne Kennedy, who passed away in December.
