PENSACOLA, Fla. (WPMI) In just two days, Pensacola will ring in the new year with their fifth annual pelican drop.
Fifty thousand people are expected to attend. The pelican and stage will be set up at the intersection of Palafox and Government streets.
Local businesses are preparing by promoting events and ordering extra food to accommodate the large crowds.
The 2013 celebration starts Monday, Jan. 31, at 5 p.m.
