(MOBILE, Ala.) Before the championship game was even over, Crimson Tide championship gear was ready to roll off the shelves in Mobile.
Academy Sports at the Festival Center off of Airport Boulevard had enough merchandise to serve thousands of customers, waiting in sealed boxes in the back.
The rule: don’t open until the game is decided.
Unfortunately for Notre Dame fans, they were out of luck either way.
“No Notre Dame gear in these boxes, at all,” manager Daniel Quebedaux told Local 15.
