(MOBILE, Ala.) - After more than two decades on the job, Chamber of Commerce president Win Hallett is retiring. He announced his retirement Friday.
“Having done this for 21 years, it has been a blast. I mean, it's been one of the most exhilarating experiences you can have in life. And I think it makes sense to try to go out when things are going very well. And I truly believe that the best days for this community, this region, are ahead and not too far away” Hallett tells LOCAL 15.
Hallett will remain president until his successor is named some time in 2013. A search committee has already been organized to ensure a smooth transition.
