(MOBILE, Ala.) A suspected car thief is in jail after leading police on a high speed chase Monday evening.
Police say this is the third car the suspect has stolen in two weeks.
They say he had multiple warrants out for his arrest.
He tried to evade police by driving down a dirt utility road, but his car got stuck in the mud off Bellchase Road near Lott Road.
That's when he took off on foot, but police were able to nab him.
Two tow trucks were called in to get the stolen car and a police cruiser out of the mud.
