(ELBERTA, Ala.) - One person is dead and another was wounded after a double shooting Wednesday at a home near Elberta, a few miles south of highway 98.
According to Baldwin County Sheriff's Office spokesman Anthony Lowery, the shooting happened just after 3:30 p.m.
Authorities say a women entered her boyfriend's home and found two burglars. The men fled with a tv and other items from the home.
According to police, the parties knew each other and the burglars were asked to return the stolen items.
Sheriff's deputies say Robert Hertel returned to the home with a .40 caliber glock pistol and shot two men at the home, killing one. Hertel was arrested Wednesday and charged with murder.
The Sheriff's Office is also looking for a second suspect who they say is wanted in connection with the burglary.
The victims' names have not been released.
