(MOBILE, Ala.) July 24 - An anonymous call led the Mobile Police Bomb Squad to a basketball-sized cannonball on South Conception Street Friday.

The cannonball was found among other metal pieces inside Air Hydraulics in Downtown Mobile.

Workers say the cannonball, which bears a U.S. Navy symbol, had been there for two years without anyone paying it much attention.

Police say they are unsure if the cannonball is still a live explosive. The piece of ammunition was taken to an undisclosed location for testing.
