BAYOU LA BATRE, Ala. (AP) - Bayou La Batre police arrested six people on drug charges after they discovered a methamphetamine lab while investigating a convicted sex offender's whereabouts.

Cpl. Corey Finch tells the Press-Register newspaper that they had information that Anthony Higgins Jr. might be staying at the home. Mobile County jail records show Higgins was arrested in 1998.

Police say officers saw materials for making meth when the residents of the home answered the door Thursday. Police arrested Higgins and five others, including Higgins' girlfriend.

Those arrested face various drug-related charges. It was not immediately clear whether Higgins or any of the others had a lawyer.

Really??? A red goatee and tattooed neck? Certainly the Police have mistaken this cretin for a criminal! Look at this guy..undoubtedly he is the designated driver in a clown car parade. What's sad is that the Sheriff's Department and BLB PD can put a blindfold on and pick a random house in South Mobile County on a map and that house more than likely has a meth lab or sex offender or perhaps both.
