MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) Prepare for detours if you plan on driving through the Bankhead Tunnel this weekend.
The tunnel will be closed beginning Friday at 9 p.m. It will reopen Monday, March 18, at 5 a.m.
Crews will be installing newly painted doors.
