MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI)   Fans watching the game downtown were not surprised to watch the Tide wipe out Notre Dame.

Alabama beat Notre Dame 42-14 to win its third national title in four seasons.

Some die-hard fans who weren't able to make it to Miami were out in numbers.

Bars and restaurants downtown were packed with fans cheering on the Crimson Tide.

Local 15's Christian Jennings talked to folks who staked out their spots for the big game.

The common response? "Roll Tide!"
