(MOBILE, Ala.) November 17 - Authorities have released the cause of death for a man found in the Tennsaw River, Friday. Investigators called the man a "person of interest" in the murder of his girlfriend whose body was found at a paper company in Theodore.
Officials say Clifton Ramsey died as a result of drowing. Ramsey's body was found by a fisherman in the murky waters of Baldwin County waterway.
Mobile investigators were looking for Ramsey after find the body of his girlfriend, Naomi Gordon two weeks ago. Gordon was found stabbed to death in a dumpster at the Norden Paper Company in Theodore. Officials are not sure how long her body had been in the dumpster.
According to her co-workers at a hotel in Montgomety, Gordon left with Ramsey to go to a casino in Biloxi. Ramsey's relatives say Gordon won nearly $3,000 during the outing.
No arrests have been made in Gordon's murder.
