(MOBILE COUNTY, Ala.) Looking for a job? You're in luck! At least two major companies in Mobile County are looking for hundreds of workers.

Austal and Alorica are currently hiring.

Austal is looking to hire 1,000 people right away.

Welders, fitters, electricians, engineers -- just a few positions the company is looking to fill.

"We're also looking for production control employees, we even need recruiters. We have both our module manufacturing facility and our final assembly bay additions that are now open and we need 100 people to basically staff up those requirements," says Don Keeler,
VP of Human Resources at Austal USA.

Austal is looking to hire hard working people to help build 20 U.S. Naval ships over the next several years. The company is already in the process of building seven.

The help wanted sign is also up at Alorica.

The national call center is searching for customer service representatives -- entry level and management positions for their Saraland location.

"There's a lot of opportunity for folks who may want to start here in Saraland and then, eventually, as they move up the chain, move into different locations across the country," says Vincent Jackson, Operations Manager with Alorica.
