ROBERTSDALE, Ala. (WPMI) Health department officials say anywhere from 100,000 to 1 million gallons of sewage overflowed into Rock Creek Tuesday.

The Baldwin County Health Department reports that a lift station on College Street and a manhole overflowed after heavy rainfall.

The health department urges residents to exercise caution if using Rock Creek for recreational purposes. Also, thoroughly cook any fish or seafood caught near by and wash hands after handling fish or seafood.

For information on the sewage spill call Robertsdale Utilities at 947-2466.
