BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Police in Alabama have fatally shot two suspects following separate shooting incidents 75 miles apart, one of which left three dead.

Authorities in Cleburne County said a male suspect was shot in eastern Alabama by police following the fatal shooting of three males at a mobile home park. Police said the suspect led police on a chase that ended at a busy interchange near Interstate 20. They said the suspect was armed with an AK-47 and wounded a police officer during the pursuit.

The identities of the gunman and the three gunshot victims had not been released late Saturday evening.

In a separate incident, police said 38-year-old Jason Letts of Jemison opened fire early Saturday morning at a hospital in Birmingham, wounding a police officer and two employees before being shot and killed by another officer.

I promise you- once investigated- we will find thats these shooters had prior records and should have already been in jail. Guns do not commit crimes, idiots do.
